A Prayer to Overcome Worry and Fear
Worry can be like carrying a heavy backpack you never take off, it wears you down in body, mind, and ruach (spirit)
Stopping worry is less about “turning it off” and more about handing it over to Yahuah and choosing to rest in His care.
1. Bring it to Yahuah immediately.
Don’t let worries sit and grow. As soon as they show up, turn them into a prayer.
Example:
“Yahuah, this is weighing on me. I give it into Your hands. I trust You to guide and guard me.”
2. Meditate on His promises.
Worry shrinks when truth takes its place. Write down verses about His provision, protection, and presence, and keep them where you’ll see them.
Examples:
Tehillim (Psalm) 55:22 “Cast your burden on Yahuah, and He sustains you; He never allows the righteous to be shaken.”
YeshaYahu (Isaiah) 26:3
“You guard in perfect shalum the one whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You.”
3. Guard your thoughts.
Replace “what if” thoughts with “Yahuah will” thoughts.
Instead of: “What if things go wrong?”
Say: “Yahuah will lead me in the right way.”
4. Rest in His timing.
Worry often comes from wanting answers now. But His timing is perfect, sometimes He works in ways we can’t see yet.
5. Strengthen your amunah (faith).
Faith grows with use. The more you choose to trust Him in small things, the easier it is to trust Him in big things.
A Prayer to read when worried
teach my heart to fear nothing and no one but You.
You know every need before I speak it. I give You my fears and my “what ifs.”
Fill my heart with Your shalum, my mind with Your truth,
and my ruach (spirit) with Your joy.
I trust Your ways and Your timing.
Strengthen my belief, remove all fear of man, and let my trust rest only in You.
Let me walk in Your ways, and may my heart stay close to You forever.
